Welcoming Artivate's New Co-Editor

Artivate welcomes Adrienne Callander as a new co-editor of the journal for the 2026-2027 academic year. Prof. Callander brings deep experience and insight to this work, along with a demonstrated commitment to the journal – as a published scholar in our pages and as a guest co-editor for a past special issue.

Prof. Callander teaches, researches, and creates at the intersection of art, entrepreneurship, and social practice. Her recent publications include a futurecasting special issue calling attention to new ways of framing arts entrepreneurship; case studies on artists as institutional entrepreneurs, activists, and grassroots organizers; analysis of overlaps in art and entrepreneurship studies; entrepreneurship as social practice; and strategies for supporting the bold potential of transdisciplinary teaching.

She currently serves as Associate Professor and Head of Arts Entrepreneurship in the School of Art at the University of Arkansas.

Prof. Callander joins current co-editor Andrew Taylor to ensure the continuing vitality and impact of the journal.
