Abstract

Created for students and instructors alike, Mark Rabideau’s The 21CM Introduction to Music Entrepreneurship provides a cohesive curriculum for a semester-long course in arts entrepreneurship. 

Author Biography

Karen Munnelly, The University of Texas at Austin

Karen coordinates professional development opportunities for students in the College of Fine Arts, including overseeing Fine Arts Career Services. She works closely with individuals across the college to ensure that Fine Arts Career Services offers a variety of programming that fulfills the many diverse needs and interests of COFA students. Karen also serves as a lecturer in the Minor in Arts Management and Administration. Prior to coming to UT, Karen worked as an arts administrator serving as director of operations for the Aspen Music Festival and School, artistic and operations director for the National Repertory Orchestra, and artistic assistant for the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Karen received a Ph.D. in Arts Administration, Education and Policy from The Ohio State University, a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of South Florida.
